Partial Intelligence

Partial Intelligence is a phrase coined to describe acts that demonstrate only parts or bits of intelligence. There is no word in the dictionary that describes Partial Intelligence. The terms "pargence" and "pargent" were invented and are the official words to describe acts of "partial intelligence".

What is the difference between being pargent and being dumbfounded? Someone who is dumbfounded is generally dumb. Someone who is pargent appears to be intelligent and or shows signs of intelligence, but is dumb in some or many aspects (sometimes unknowingly and under the surface).

Examples of pargence

A person with a high IQ may be a serial killer, and have extensive knowledge in crime. This person only has partial intelligence. They show signs of intelligence, but they do not participate in an overall long term intelligence.

Another example of pargence (demonstrated through a paradox): man is clever enough to build something so dumbfounded, the atomic bomb.

It's important to realize how shocked the physicists were in the aftermath of the bombing of Hiroshima, on August 6, 1945. They describe a series of waves of emotion: first, a sense of fulfillment that the bomb worked, then horror at all the people that had been killed, and then a convincing feeling that on no account should another bomb be dropped. Yet of course another bomb was dropped, on Nagasaki, only three days after the bombing of Hiroshima. --Bill Joy, Sun Microsystems

Over 80 percent of the world is extremely pargent.

"Owning a firearm brings me some sort of balance. When I am angry at the world I find relief in dropping a clip into the air. And, at the same time, if the world threatens me or those I love, I find relief in the protection it gives me." --http://www.armedamerica.org/aa2/index4.html

The quotes above describes a pargent person thinking that dropping a clip into the air is intelligent (and when the bullet comes back down and kills someone due to gravity... do we laugh or cry?)

We are living in a world full of pargent folks who appear to be successful because of their bank account or their possessions.

I admit to pargent acts myself. Everyone displays acts of pargence. Being able to detect and point out pargence in your own every day life is a start. Just because I may have come up with the term "pargence", does not mean that I'm not pargent.
Pargence/pargent should now be in the public domain. I claim no copyrights or trademarks to the words. If you are a dictionary publishing company or website, please feel free to define and use pargence in your literature.
The word "pargence" (and "pargent" respectively) are easy to say and pronounce, and will most likely be chosen as English words to describe the occurrence of "partial intelligence". If you are part of a country who does not speak English as the main language, please feel welcome to recommend a standard word for your language.
