~ vikings vs somali what is the difference |
Almost everyone considers vikings as hero characters, extremely brave, white people who frankly, and supposedly, raided villages, stole property, possibly raped women in those countries they were raiding, and happened to have nice blonde facial hair, equally as perfect as my own, minus the one or two gray really blonde hairs.
The Somali people on the other hand who steal stuff off and raid ships (if the rumors and stories are true) are these terrible people because: what, they are black?
They are the same fucking thing as the vikings, AFAICT, so why do people consider vikings the heros and brave people of the world, but the Somali people are these nasty horrid dudes.
Indeed once more a story of hypocrisy at its finest. Now, I'll admit I do not know enough about Somali to make further comment, and have been meaning to do more research on them. I have seen a few movies about them raiding ships, and they are painted as evil people with the white guys on the ships as the heros in the movie... You can hear me chuckling. I mean, yes, it would indeed be nasty to have your ship bloody well raided by some freaky brave Somali people - But isn't that what the fucking Norwegian vikings and Swedes did, who we consider heros for some reason?
What the fuck is an instance of hypocrisy this strong? So as long as my blonde perfect viking facial hair brings me happiness, I guess I don't care - but still!
