~ unknown physicist movie
It's the 1990's and a top grade 8 science student puts his hand up in class when the model of the atom is being discussed. He says "what if the electron is not really a ball, but a cloud. It could be dispersed in many places, and is not truly an electron point". The school teacher welcomes the idea but is skeptical. This student seems to be thinking outside of the box. In fact the teacher has noticed this child is special and one day he talks to a university about the kid. The teacher mentions to science professors at the university some of the ideas and theories the child has come up with. The electron cloud theory, a visualization of the electron being almost in many places at once in a ring or cloud around the atom, spikes the interest of a few professors. Quantum mechanics has not been invented yet and no one knows anything about it. The professors find the idea so interesting that they come to visit the child in school and ask him about his theory. While discussing the theory with the professors, the secret service and police come to the classroom and escort the child out of the building. They take him away in a black car with windows tinted out. While escorting him they ensure him that there is nothing to be concerned about, he has done nothing wrong. They tell him that he is not going to fully understand what is happening at the moment, but that time travel is possible, and he is invited to speak to Bohr, Einstein, and other top scientists who are dead. He will be sent back in time as an "unknown" and unnamed scientist to meat with the atom model theorists and physicists to discuss the idea that the atom is surrounded by electrons not as billiard ball points, but a cloud around the atom of many points, or, what he will soon find out, "probabilities".

The secret service warns that the full effects of time travel may be memory loss of the event, and the child may not even remember that he ever met with these physicists, but he will likely remember some of the events that lead up to the time travel event, and that if he discusses the time travel event with anyone they will likely not believe him and write him off as mentally ill.

The secret service car has music playing in it, specifically chosen based on what the child likes. Some how the secret service knows the favorite music of the child, even bands from the future that the child does not know he likes yet. The secret service says to the child "we will be flying you out of Canada, into the United States, where our most sophisticated time travel technologies exist. There is no risk, you will not suffer injuries - we have the ability to go back and time and fix issues even, in a recursive way, if anything happened - you are guaranteed safety - in fact, we even have copies of this universe based on your theory - we already know your theory, but you still have to attend this event and discuss your theory, other wise it will not be known, even though it is known. I am sorry it is confusing but time travel works this way, in mysterious ways." The U2 song "Mysterious Ways" plays. The secret service says to the child "there are some consequences of time travel and revealing your theory in a different time... you will have a very hard time claiming ownership of the theory as it would be impossible for you to invent a theory that has already been invented before you were born. However the effect of revealing your theory years before you are born is extremely important for physics and science and the entire world, if not the entire universe and 'multiverse'." The kid interrupts him "What is multiverse?".. The secret service says "let me continue, multiverse is part of electron cloud discovery and other theories of the future, that will be injected back into time, you do not know about this yet, but, you do, in a recursive way - do you understand recursion and the meaning of it? And no worries if you do not." The child says "I think I understand partially what is going on here, assuming that this is not some kind of sick joke, prank, or dream". The secret service says "it will feel very dreamy, this entire fiasco, but let me assure you are not dreaming, however you will have trouble remembering this conversation due to the weird effects and parameters involved".

The secret service says to the child "when you come back to Canada your entire text books in science will be completely different, and it will confuse you. No one in your class room or school will see any issues with this as they will feel as they have always been as such, and they will feel there is no history revision of any sort, nor will they notice any of the books been rewritten or modified, as they will be part of that instance of the universe, but you will be part of multiple instances and - recursively, this is all part of your theory - that one can actually be in "many worlds" - but you don't know this yet, but you sort of do, as I just said it, but this theory has not been worked on yet because you have not arrived to meet with the top scientists of the atom model. When you arrive back in science class, you may notice a picture of some of the top scientists of the atom model, listed from left to right, with one of the people listed as "unknown". That's you. But you will not know it is you, but you may have some strange hunch or idea, that something very strange is going on. People will deny it if you ask them about it. You will have clothes on that you do not recognize, clothes from a different time period, so that you fit in to the time period you are sent back in. As I said before, time travel has unknown effects on the brain and may cause memory issues of the invent, possibly the entire event being distant or completely forgotten."

When the child comes back to Canada after the event and he sees his physics texts books, he finds something very odd about them and has a recall of his own visualization of an electron cloud, and the electron as a probability rather than a real billiard ball or point - but it says quantum mechanics was invented long ago, so, how could his visualization have been invented this long ago? He puts up his hand in science class when he sees this and says "I brought this up in class, this is my theory, I came up with it - and then the secret service came to pick me up, what is going on here?" The class laughs at him. The teacher says "Well that is pretty arrogant, to think you are the founder of quantum mechanics... let's move on to the next chapter now". The teacher flips the page after the brief introduction chapter to different models of the atom. The child puts his hand up again and says "wait, I'm serious. This is theft: I came up with this idea, I am starting to remember the event". The teacher laughs and says "we need to move on to the next chapter, let's stop this silly game - you are a smart student, but you didn't invent quantum mechanics, it was invented in 1925." The kid says "don't you remember? the secret service and the cops came and escorted me away, I am not joking, this is an alternate universe where you may not remember, but I do, as I was part of multiple instances, whereas you are part of this instance of the universe when the theory was injected into". The entire class laughs. "Well then how would we know?" Says the teacher, thinking that the child is joking. The teacher looks at the student and says "we know you are joking, now stop, let's move on to the next chapter as class is ending soon and we have to get through some of this next chapter, we are behind." The kid starts crying. The kids in the class do not laugh any more, and some of them say "is he actually serious? I can't believe that". They feel bad for him as he is crying and not interested in the science chapter, and slams his book shut. He leaves the classroom, without permission, and goes to the washroom. He cries and cries. In his pocket he has a tape cassette player, and he turns on his music and listens to it, while crying at the sink in the washroom. The music on the tape is the song that was playing in the secret service car. The secret service specifically chose to play this song so he would remember, as music triggers memory. Then the child remembers back to the conversation in the car when the secret service agent said "you may even feel haunted, or very confused and distorted, possibly triggering very strange emotions. You are at risk of a mental break down, but you will also be very happy because you will know you contributed to some of the greatest moments in history, as an unknown but very important scientist. Try not to worry, we know some of the effects will be devastating to you, but this theory needs to be injected back into time as it will change the world profoundly, forever, and for the good of the entire human species. It already has. You have already helped us, even though there is no current record of this - if you know what I mean, recursively." The U2 music continues to play on his cassette deck that was playing in the secret service car. The child washes his eyes and wipes more tears from his face. The song "Beautiful Day", by U2 plays on his tape cassette. The child does realize that this song has not been released yet, and is from the future. It is the 1990s and "Beautiful Day" was released in 2000. The secret service injected the song back into time and had it copied onto the child's tape cassette, specifically to cheer him up in case he was feeling down about people not believing him. The child does not realize the U2 song has not been released yet, as he feels he has heard it before, so nothing seems strange about the song. He could use this tape for evidence that something strange is going on about the world, but he doesn't know that this song would be key evidence. Even if he did figure a way to prove something, he is not sure if he should, or if it is allowed, if there is even such a thing as someone dictating what is and what isn't allowed with time travel.
