~ two runners lag behind |
Every wednesday a man goes for a walk in the river valley. Almost every time he sees the same running club pass him by in the opposite direction. There are always two female runners who appear to be struggling and far behind. Sometimes their faces are so red that he wonders if they should stop and walk, but for some odd reason they do not appear to be going all that slow.
After months of seeing them he feels bad for them as the entire group is way ahead of the two utterly exhausted runners. Sometimes they are a bit behind, but other times quite a bit. Finally one day he asks them, why are the other runners leaving them behind and not waiting? They reply that they are on their second lap, the group is still on the first lap. But the two women can barely speak, as they are so wasted that they look like the could fall over and nearly die.
Two runners lag behind, be careful of the peoole you judge who are at the back of the line.
