~ theory of memetic mutation
Converting an existing song, or poem, and modifying only a few characters or words, to give the song a whole new perspective and meaning, and purpose, is what could be called "memetic mutation".

A genetic mutation is when a gene changes, for better or for worse; a memetic mutation is similar, in that an existing meme, or set of words, is changed slightly, for better or for worse. In my opinion, of course all my mutated song "konversions" or always better and never worse - as the songs tend to now relate to important subjects in life like mathematics, programming; whereas the original version of the song was a pile of lovey dovey romantic shit relating to women's crapola.

Here is an example of a memetic mutation, or a konversion:

This is a line about love

becomes

This is a line about code

or this:

  Amour, amour

becomes

  Code more, code more

A word can be changed to have the same rhyme, or even just one character could be changed, for example:

  Give her some stick

becomes

  Give her some stack

(in reference to programming term, stack)

And this:
I want to live for God

becomes

I want to live for Go

(in reference to the Go programming language)

Or words that sound very similar, can be swapped in as a mutation:

All roads lead to where you are

becomes

All codes leads to where you are

Subtle, but important difference above.

Take this as another example:

  We will get gold

becomes

  We will git code

Very subtle but important mutations.

The Songs

See the Programmer Song Project (Songs Page1) for all the songs that have had mutations, all for the better. It might be moved to it's own domain name at some point, if time and resources allow - with the main assumption that you're not a faggot.
