Ever drive down a road where your side is free to go, but the oncoming traffic is backed up in rush hour. You roll down the window, flip the middle finger to at least 30 maybe 50-100 people because they are all living in a town you dislike. This is the finger operator, which is one middle finger operator applied to several people in a list. The cars or people, are being operated on by my single middle finger.
Decide whether this should be called parameter or operator, as an operator could just be a special parameter in/to the function
