There are a couple of different types of satanism.. there is the more rational and reasonable one where satanists don't actually believe in satan, they just use it as a tool to get what they want in life and see satan as a symbol, not an actual object that exists. Then there is the satanist who literally believes satan exists.
What are some strange creepy similarities between satanism and judaism?
Without sounding like an anti-semite, this article is more meant for humor..
Judaism (Jewish religion) believes in the improvement of the self, and gaining what you want in life by being as successful as you can... focusing on the self and your own family. I hope I have not misinterpreted the religion incorrectly, as my interest in religion is not very big. I have not studied it enough to really know it well, but this is what I have read about it and have found many people saying about Judaism, that success in your own self and family is very important in the religion.
How is this similar to satanism? Well, satanists also believe strongly in attaining what you want for your own needs...
As I said this article is meant to be humour and not intended to insult Jewish people, although if I have done that I don't give a pig flying fuck on a rainy Wednesday.
Basically all humans are selfish, so it is a moot point. All humans try to obtain things for their selves. It's just that satanism encourages you to use symbols and a dogma in order to obtain your "self" goals in life. As does Judaism. Satanism is all about you getting what you want in life even if it means other people are stepped on. Again, I hope I have not misinterpreted it, as I'm not a huge fan, follower, or researcher of religious practices and anti-religious practices.
In this world where everyone is playing massive psychological mind games and stepping on everyone, I can see the allure to Satanism though, and possibly Judaism. Why should you suffer and not be successful? Why not focus on yourself and improve yourself and focus on your own success more than helping others - who are just out to step on you anyway?
If you focus on your own success and your own family (assuming your family members are not idiots, which, often they are), you can get far in life. So it makes sense to have some (false) religion or cult-like practice attached to your success gaining strategy in life. Believe that some god is helping you along the way achieve your massive success and your massive bank account deposit from your next business venture. Believe that you will succeed with the power of God, or Satan, take your pick. Don't worry about greed.. Greed is Good, as Milton Friedman said. Use symbols and tools such as religions or satanism to gain your success in life..?
As I said it sounds awefuly similar, and this article is intended to be humorous, not anti semite. But we all know that any time you criticize a Christian it is perfectly okay and acceptable, as it is skepticism and atheism - but any time you criticise Jewish or Judaist practice that's pure anti semitism. So I retract everything said in this article and roll it back to a blank page at its first revision. You fill in the blanks.
