A man moves into a home, and his neighbor records things the man does in the privacy of his home (bugs the house), and records things the man does in his yard. He plays back the recordings to psychologically torment his neighbor. Later he has a girlfriend move in with him. The neighbor then starts recording things his girlfriend says too - and at this point the man has had enough, because now he is messing with his girlfriend which is off grounds. He reports it to the police, and they then get the psych ward involved as they think he is mentally ill and having delusions. He goes to the psych ward after the "crisis team" is called. The psych ward psychiatrists diagnose him as a schizophrenic.
His wife comes and visits him in the hospital and convinces him to just play their game, to get out of the hospital: admit he has "schizophrenia" (even though he does not), in order for them to release him, and she convinces him to take the prescription from the doctor and say to the psychiatrist that he will be picking up his medications every month at the drug store. This is because after hassles and hassles the psychiatrists simply do not believe that it is possible for a neighbor to record the internals of all rooms of the house and play it back, or if it is possible it would not be very probable or likely that any neighbor would have such interest in the neighbor, nor would the neighbor have access to such sophisticated technology, nor would the neighbor likely have broken in to the home to install the technology.
The neighbor is nick named "tub o' shit" by the girlfriend and boyfriend as he is fat with a pot, and is a creepy old white haired man.
The boyfriend and girlfriend have a child in the home, and then the neighbor starts messing with his child too. They feel urged to move away, but why should they give up their home because of a neighbor? They cannot report it to the police any more as they will simply label him delusional and he will end up back in the psych ward for a longer period, locked up, unable to make money for months. Finally the man decides to join the Hell's Angels so he can kill his neighbor, and not get caught, as he is part of a gang that will protect him from any issues. However, the man has another plan in mind... he will not be killing the neighbor, his girlfriend will - which she does not know, until when he breaks into his house, ties him up to a chair and informs her that it's her joy to kill the "faggot". She does not want to, but after he gets her into it, and encourages her, they kill him, but not instantly - they make him pay for his perverted, creepy, mentally deranged behavior. He pretends he is going to kill him before it all, with an axe, baseball bat, and more weapons - with the creep tied to a chair able to see it all (not blind folded). He just swings and pretends he is going to hit him, to scare him. She says "Aren't you going to kill him?".. then he informs her "no I'm not, you are, and you are going to do it slowly."
