~ lawyer anxiety movie
A successful court lawyer becomes extremely aggravated a few days before his court appearances, and sometimes even weeks before depending on the case.

He ends up taking heroine to medicate his extreme nervousness and aggravation. But he does not get addicted to it, surprisingly, by using disciplined infrequent doses only when his stomach is really aggravated and he is extremely nervous, and not using it as a crutch all the time as soon as he gets a bit nervous or aggravated. This works well, however he feels too calm in court at times, not on his feet as much as when he is off the heroine. However he can't go off the heroine as it helps him sleep well and relax the day before court, which he absolutely needs.

Then he ends up taking cocaine right before his case to make him more alert, and again does not become addicted to it since his court cases are only every so often. Now he wonders if he is in trouble and is heading for addiction soon.

He sees a psychiatrist and explains to him that he is dealing with aggravation before his case, and doesn't tell him he is medicating it with illegal drugs. The psychiatrist insists that it is normal as a lawyer to feel aggravated and anxious before his case, and tries to help him deal with it by simply comparing him to other lawyers "other lawyers go through the same thing, it's the career that you are in, not your mental health that is an issue likely". However the lawyer insists that it is really so bad that he is considering quitting as he cannot handle the feeling in his gut and the extreme nervousness before his case. He does not know what to call it, but it is worse than the feeling before a final exam in school. Then the psychiatrist says "is it extreme anxiety you are feeling?". The lawyer says "That's it, anxiety. That's the word I am looking for, it's extreme anxious feelings, to the point where I feel like quitting my job, but I am a good lawyer and do not want to quit - I am doing well, other than this anxiety."

The psychiatrist prescribes him anxiety medication, without hesitation or any warnings, as it is common to prescribe these drugs and the psychiatrist sees no issue prescribing it in this case.

The lawyer finds the anxiety medications useful and it allows him to go off the heroine, and he no longer needs the cocaine since the anxiety medications do not make him too calm on court day, as the heroine did.

However, now a serious problem occurs: he's addicted to the anxiety medications, and cannot go off them. He now uses them as a crutch, and it is worse than his heroine usage. He finds that after using the anxiety pills for a while, he needs more of them, otherwise they do not have as much effect.

After being addicted to the anxiety pills for years, he decides to think about it carefully, and come up with some solutions that could get him off the anxiety medications. One day after a hot shower he notices an interior door in his house needs replacing, and he is angry about his upcoming case and extremely anxious. He starts hitting the door with his fist, then palming it karate style, to take away some of his frustrations. Then he starts karate kicking the door as his frustrations are not going away so easily. After a while, the door is demolished, and now not only the door needs replacing but the frame too, as he damaged it. He sits down "no big deal, nothing that a bit of handy skills can't fix." When he sits down for a while, he realizes "maybe this is it, boxing to reduce my anxiety? now I feel much calmer. He builds a work out room which he did not have in his house before with a sand bag in it, and he will try weight lifting too. His hot shower with a heater on helped calm him to, so he decides to build a sauna in his house to reduce anxiety. He also remembers that dairy has some chemicals similar to opiates in it, and that exercise takes away anxiety since it uses up extra energy, and he is full of too much energy. He tries a combination of weight lifting and a sand bag, before his court case, and eats cheese and dairy, ridiculous amounts, while cutting his anxiety pill dose in half. This seems to work, and the weight lifting and sand bag boxing has a psychological effect that makes him more confident and he visualizes winning his case while beating the sand bag, and grunting and making loud noise while clanging the bench press barbell. While weight lifting and boxing he shouts and psychs himself out "You are an animal, you can win this case. You are a fucking animal."

He eventually goes completely off his anxiety medications and simply burns his anxiety off in the weight lifting room, which he builds, with also his sandbag in it. "If this lawyer career ever goes downhill, I could always become a boxer." He then jump kicks the the sand bag "or an MMA". However he remains a lawyer. He finds one more door in his house, that he analyzes carefully before a big case. "Does this door need any replacing?" He looks at it, and doesn't find too many issues with it. Then he becomes really picky, and finds flaws even where they are nowhere to be found. He starts beating up the door just like he did when he discovered his natural medication, exercise, that one night. "Maybe I'll have to replace the frame too". Then he jump kicks it and his foot goes through the door. He pulls it out, and does another jump kick, demolishing the door further. In the court case the next day, he mentions in his final words to the jury about "like breaking down a door", in metaphor speak, with a grin on his face. The jury indeed assumes he is talking symbolically, but they don't know the previous night he demolished, jump kicked, boxed, and destroyed a door in his home to help win this case.
