~ can one lose respect for randi and shermer |
James Randi and Michael Shermer are some of the most respected skeptics on the planet and I have always been a big fan of them.
However they seem to be the type of people who think nothing strange is going on and everything can be explain with simple reason and logic... which, I used to think to.
Until I found out that this planet is not reasonable and logical at all, and is full of activity which Randi and Shermer would immediately label crackpot. For example, Randi and Shermer would immediately label anyone as a crackpot who said they thought they were being followed by hundreds of stalkers, because the likelihood of you being stalked is very low. And, in fact, this is exactly what happens. And Randi and Shermer would immediately label anyone a crackpot who thought that reading of the mind was possible, when in fact this is exactly what disabled people use to move the mouse on their computer through electronic brain waves. And Randi and Shermer would immediately label anyone as crackpot who thought that telepathy was possible, even though, brain waves are just wifi signals that could theoretically and practically actually be telepathically sent from one brain to another with the correct electronics. And Randi and Shermer would immediately label anyone as crackpot if they thought they were part of some time travel conspiracy, even though time travel is perfectly valid inside a computer system where one can rewind a computer to a certain state or fastforward it to a certain state - and since the universe is very much like a quantum computer system there is simply nothing stoppign the universe time from being messed with (and unfortunately in the worst of all possible ways, technology is abused by idiots). Psychic power: is possible, through brain waves and time travel to predict what will happen, but Randi and Shermer would immediately say Psychic power is not possible. Well, not really, but it sort of is if someone sent a message back in time to predict the future and sent it back to a brain wave that interacted with a human skull.
Randi and Shermer would immediately label anyone as a crackpot if they said dreams could be telepathically read and implemented in reality - even though dreams are just brainwaves, and could very well be telepathically read with the right equipment, and could even be hacked wirelessly. Your dreams at night could even be modified by other extremely creepy people, if the right brain wave technology was in place, and dreams could be sent to other people. All assuming the right technology was in place, which, could even be technology that you are unaware of, such as devices that transmit waves that you don't know exist yet.
Indeed I am not actually saying James Randi and Shermer are simply wrong, just that they are often closed minded and skeptical about everything, rather than being open minded about everything. Being too open minded supposedly allows your brain to fall out of your head and you become a crackpot. Up until the point where you have plenty of evidence that this technology already exists, and is being used by the worst criminals and creeps ever to step foot on this planet. The most absurd fallacy is that nothing strange is going on and there are no conspiracies, when in fact that is exactly the case. For example if you were told that the government is not a conspiracy and isn't up to anything strange and anyone is a crackpot for thinking it, then I guess you'd have to say that the entire MK Ultra and Snowden conspiracy is all a lie, which it is not. i.e. there really is no big government conspiracy of anyone tracking facebook, that's all a bunch of lies and paranoia, right? no one is watching, or bugging you, or stalking you.. Except, the Snowden movie proves otherwise, and it's true. This doesn't prove everything crackpot must be true just because one thing is true.
There is nothing strange going on with physics time travel or sending messages back and forward in time, that all has to be a crackpot conspiracy, right? Keep on believing it folks. Just be a skeptic and ignorance is bliss - go on with your daily life as nothing strange is happening (well, if you're dumb, that is). Worse, go ahead and tell other people that nothing strange is going on - spread the word! The world is completely sensible, rational, and can be explained using reason and simpleton methods. Unless you are in the know, of course.
Oh yes, and anyone who thinks they are living inside a computer simulation is mentally ill, insane, and should be thrown in a psych ward - as there is nothing at all that points to any evidence that the universe is anything like a simulation or computation system or information system, and Information Theory and Claude Shannon are simply a hoax, along with quantum mechanics too - wait, no, Randi and Shermer are okay with quantum mechanics, sorry, my bad. Never mind then, it's nothing strange going on at all - keep telling your friends that.
