~ bsd and linux works on thousands but apps not
BSD and Linux are able to run on thousands of bizarre pieces of hardware often seamlessly and flawlessly, with the exception of a few drivers not being ported yet or certain addons/cards not working, but the major hardware works.

Compare this, to the absolute shit state of software development (app development). One Million software developers and their lameass brothers (faggots) cannot get a simple app working on TWO (I said 2) platforms. i.e. an App on Windows, looks like utter shit, and works like utter shit, on Linux/BSD: or worse, it works badly on both operating systems and is sub par on both, because it was never designed for both, or it was designed for one, and then crappily ported to the other. Yet, a BSD/Linux programmer can get his operating system working on hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of hardware platforms? What the pray tell fuckie fuck is going on here?

App development is and always has been in a shit state, unless you pick one platform and stick with it (i.e. an app specifically for Windows, or an app specifically for Mac OSX). We are talking about TWO platforms, that lameass software developers have issues developing a multi platform app on, that doesn't look like and function like complete utter shit... Only TWO. Try three and you're even more fucked... Getting your app working on linux/macosx/windows is extremely difficult, painful, if not impossible - and by working, I mean actually functional and not in a shit/broken state with half the keyboard shortcuts fucked up or half the functionality "broken". As I said "broken".

Yet a bsd/linux programmer, can get his OS working (and several drivers) on thousands of bizarre hardware you have never heard of before.

So the simple question is, what the fuck is wrong with app developers, and app development in general? This shit show needs to be addressed.

Lazarus (fpc GUI tool), MSEGUI, and Firemonkey come close at trying to solve the problem for a couple of platforms.... they are the exception.. but even they have their problems. Then there is QT which also comes close, but has its problems. But even if those tools (praise them) actually addressed and solved the problem, it would only be solving the problem for 1-2 platforms, maybe 3, if you're extremely lucky 4 (bsd/linux/windows/macos).... We are talking about a small problem of only 2 operating systems, max 4, and the apps don't even work on that small count of less than your left hand. Yet, a bsd/linux programmer can get his operating system working on 350 fucking bizarre hardware platforms, if not 3094... I don't know how much hardware is out there, but it is a lot.

So what the flying fuck is wrong with app developers, and app development? These app developers are either stupid, or, app development somehow is a bigger problem than hardware porting. Which seems strange, since, hardware porting and reverse engineering requires just as much (IMO) intelligence, if not more, than gay faggy GUI widgets. I mean seriously, GUI widgets are not nearly as hard to develop (IMHO or IMAO), as reverse engineering a fucking undocumented bizarre piece of hardware that no one knows how works (with the exception of super intelligence aspergers type genius).

So the question is, are the genius just not solving the app problem because its boring or they don't care, or have better things to do?

What is wrong with app developers, are they stupid? Is app development so hard, that it's harder than hardware? It's more difficult than porting some bizarre fucking strange hardware piece no one has ever heard of? Or some Laptop no on has used in 16 years?

Either app development in a cross platform way is extremely hard, or app developers are stupid. Either way, the situation is not good.

Again with the exception of maybe Lazarus/MseGUI/Firemonkey, QT, but these only address 1-2 platforms, max 4 that anyone gives a damn about.

Maybe HTML is the only real cross platform solution since it works on the most platforms out there - but when you try to develop things like text editors in HTML, we all know where that goes... It's clunky and slow. Real apps, real desktop apps, are often not written in HTML. Some are, but, when performance such as text editing is of concern, HTML is clunky. Even the right click problem (popup menus) is not so easy with cruddy/kludgy javascript hacks. Essentially, HTML app development is not really HTML, it's javascript/html hacks and wizardry, which can be obnoxious and extremely painful.

Yet, a bsd/linux programmer can get an operating system working on hundreds, if not thousands of bizarre pieces of hardware. So, what the fuck is wrong with app development? Cross platform is shit, for apps. Always has been. Some tools have tried, partially successfully, at solving the problem, but IMO they are still lacking. Not because of an insult to those tool developers (praise them) but because of lack of resources/man power/money? What is the issue I have no idea, but app development in the cross platform sense, is, IMHO, shitty. Or IMAO (In My Arrogant Opinion).

Well, have a shitty cross platform day, and fuck you - go hurt yourself with a butter knife and throw all your operating systems and apps in the shit can.
