Suicide rates in Japan in young people are high.
One young man becomes suicidal but then takes it one step further. He is one step beyond suicide. He is now going to take matters into his hand and take care of what caused him to be suicidal. He joins a criminal gang to kill those who have damaged his life for good. He is no longer suicidal, he will see the death of those that destroyed him, and will have gigantic torturous fun with every murder. Those who raped him in his youth (family members) will be tortured and killed. Anyone else who messed with his life will be "paid visits" with his criminal gang patch. Those that did serious damage to his life and well being may be tortured and killed, while others may be just paid visits which will make them shit their pants and tremble in horrid fear.
